Like many others, Pitt was covered with ice and snow monday evening and periodically tuesday. Not much fun if you were driving or trying to walk, but really funny when you got to see someone slid and fall! Ok, well, maybe as long as they didn't hurt anything!
I know of several people who got into wrecks, one from my research writing class that "totalled his car" but it's still drivable. Another was my research writing GA herself, almost sliding into the fence surrounding a cemetary. The last one at the top of my mind would be my roomie, Melissa. She hit a slick patch, did a 180, and ended up damaging her hubcap and wheel. Nobody was hurt in any of these, thankfully.
Ok, so next week will be CRAZY BUSY!! With SAI, we have Providence Day in Lawrence this saturday, rush week all next week long, and then topping it all off with a day long Music Camp for k-5th graders the following saturday. I'm going home tomorrow... that should be fun. =) I'll get to see my family and some friends up there hopefully.
Hey... WE GOT CURTAINS YESTERDAY!! Haha, I know that that was fairly random, but I enjoy them.
Classes have been going well... I like all of them and have friends in each of them as well, which also makes me happy. I enjoy knowing people and talking to random people. The work isn't too hard (yet) and the subjects are rather interesting. Social Deviance, Principles of Learning, Human Relations in the Workplace, Fraud Examination, and Intro to Research Writing. I enjoy my major... It almost surprises me because back in HS I wouldn't have thought that I would be where I am today. I was really into biology back then... That was my first major here as well. Biology with an emphasis in medical technology and a minor in chemistry. Biology to Psychology. I love it!
Another random note: Ginger kitty has been sleeping on the back of a chair about 5 ft away from me right now. She looks cuddly. And fluffy. And like she'd be angry if I went and disturbed her.
Silly cato.
Stay warm!!
Later, loves!
