Pictures can say 1,000 words...
Life at Pittsburg State University is never that boring... Friends are always around and campus always has something going on. I love this campus and wouldn't change anything for the world!

My most noticeable thing?

I'm burnt.

It's painful, ya, but I've had worse... like at one Warped Tour several years ago, My sister missed a couple of places on my back. Staying outside all day, listening to music is amazing and all, but the scarring on my back from the burn afterwards wasn't amazing. This isn't that bad, it's pink and hot... I have some amazing friends that are willing to get the spots I can't reach. I'm very thankful for them! I guess 3+ hours at the aquatic center and my skin don't go well together. The good thing? This had better turn in to a great tan! lol

Class has been going swimmingly. I need to work on my paper for it some more, but I'll get to it soon enough. I'm writing about Death and Fairy tales. (remember, it's my Death & Dying class... so it's very appropriate!) I was about 6 when I went to my first funeral, my dads, and so I think it's really important on what and how we tell/introduce kids to the topic of death. My mom dealt with it incredibly well (Julie says so too) and my sister and I are well adjusted to everything now, but there are some people who just don't deal with things well. Well anyway, my paper will be dealing with all of the fairy tales and nursery rhymes that have to do with death. Whether we realize it or not, so many stories are laced with death themes.

Ring around the Rosie
Pocket full of Posies
Ashes, Ashes, we all fall down!

That one is possibly the most talked about when thinking of this. It's all about the Black Death. I find this stuff fascinating!!

Beside all of my class stuff, I'm job hunting and when not doing that or laying around my house, haning out with my friends and helping out with CARES.

Have you done CARES yet? I'm only working on Fridays... if you see me, say hi and don't hit me on my back. If you touch me there, I'm not promising a happy outcome. Sure you'd be able to make some great handprints in the red skin, it's still tender though!

What bums me out about the burn is that my legs don't look any different than before! Still white... boo on them.

So my friend and I are planning on celebrating Hump day tonight... grilling steaks and hanging out... it'll be a lot of fun!

My sister was planning on coming up to Pitt from Norman this weekend, but found out she didn't have the gas money to do so. It's a real buymmer, even though my mom and I are going down on the 4th to hang out with her and visit then.

Ok, so thats basically my life in a nutshell...

First off, for everyone's enjoyment, Here's my weiner dog in a penguin costume:

Adorable, isn't he?

Small update time.

I start class tomorrow at 9 am. Death and Dying. I've looked at the Syllabus and it looks almost intimidating, but I know the prof and I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

As much as you can enjoy a class that will dig up long buried memories. Litterally. I know it will help overall, I just have to get through it. I'll do it.

On the bright side, me and a friend have started playing tennis. Well, hitting the ball back and forth, chasing the ball when it flies away, and overall enjoying the exercise we call tennis without actually knowing all of the rules. Fun, no? Yup, it is. =)

Another friend, Laura and I are going to see a movie tomorrow. It should be fun!

Did I tell you about my new phone? My 21st birthday present from my mom. A blackberry curve.
I love it. =)
So much better than my old phone... which didn't like to call out... or send texts... or pretty much anything that I wanted to do. It had a mind of its own, I tell you...
Ok, well, since it's almost 1:30 and I'm getting up at like, 8 for class, I'd better get off of here.
Later Loves!
