Pictures can say 1,000 words...
Life at Pittsburg State University is never that boring... Friends are always around and campus always has something going on. I love this campus and wouldn't change anything for the world!

Recently we've been hit by some ice and snow and crap in general. It made for some good pictures, but when taking them my friends (who I took out with me) started sliding on ice.

This is out by the Jack Overman Student Center.

Once again out by the student center... gorgeous!!

I got my very own Eskimo that night!! A.K.A Rockie...

Well, this last weekend was my roomie's 21st B-day. Fun! I (being 20 still) was the dd for her. I was very proud of her (and her twin sister) because they had fun but not TOO much fun. ;)
We ended up eating at La Mesa and then going to Applebee's for dessert. It was a group of 6 of us:
Left to right, Lauren, Sarah (roomie), Me, Lisa (Sarah's twin sister), Jessica, and Mack. Our wonderful server, David, took this for us. Thanks, David!!

This last week was fun... busy, but fun. We're getting back into things and it's getting crazy because MARCH is almost here! Can you believe that?!

TOUR PITT STATE is on Sat (I'll be helping out with tours! Look for me!) and it'll be a blast. Busy and crazy, but fun none-the-less. There's also Jr Jungle Day the weekend after that (I think) and then after that is SPRING BREAK!!!! I don't think I'll be doing anything except go back home and laze around, but it'll be good to finally have a break.
I still can't get over how fast Feb has gone by. Crazy.
Going on. I'm slightly angry right now because my computer decided to throw a hissy fit on me and now I'm currently updating from Sarah's laptop. I really need to take it into Gorilla Geeks and have them look to see what's going on with it. I'm not going to lie, it's annoying. I'm just glad that Sarah is cool with me using her computer.

Well, it's getting to the point where I'm getting tired again. haha, ya. My first class is cancelled for tomorrow (I took my test on Thursday for it, walking through an icey rain to go to the Weede to take it) and so I don't have to go tomorrow because that's all they're doing - the people who weren't there get to take it.

I'm going to finally get off.

Later, loves!

So, I can't exactly remember what I wrote about last time, but It seems to be something along the lines of Valentine's day. Correct? Ya... Something like that.

We had our concert on Sat the 16th. It was pretty amazing, if I do say so myself.

This is the Pipe organ and the ensemble that performed right before ours. They played L'Histoire du Soldat by Stravinsky. This is taken from the balcony because they played then there was an intermission so we could go get our instruments, and then we played. We did Sinfonia No. 9 in C minor ("Swiss") by Mendelssohn.
Here are just a couple of my friends who were last to get out of the room:

This is Jess. She actually went to the same high school that I did. Two years older than me, i didn't really know her that well, but we're getting closer now! =)

Sam. Only one of our slightly confused yet fun to talk to basses. lol.

However, sadly, after that, I went to bed. Only waking occasionally to take more cough syrup then falling back into a deep comatose sleep, I slept pretty much until Monday. Thats right, boys and girls, I got the dreaded cold/flu thing that was going around the Pitt State campus. Boy, is it a beast! I'm still coughing like nobodys business too. Not cool! That is also my excuse for the minimum amount of pictures. =/

O! Another cool thing. SAI did their semester rushing not too long ago and we have a really good sized class this next semester. Unfort for me, it was on Sunday when we pinned them, so I didn't go, mainly so I didn't spread my illness to everyone in McCray. I got a little though, and I love her to death - Another guard girl! yay Kayla! Next time we have a get together, you bet we're getting pictures so everyone who reads this can see her adorableness!

Well, thats it for right now. Later, Loves!

Yet another week has gone by. Busy... incredibly busy. two quizzes and I thought I had a test, but turns out I didn't. That's kinda good, I guess, because now I've studied immensly for a test I have NEXT week. =)

I got a few more picture of the university...
I love this one of Russ. It's just such a cool looking building...

This is our Pipe Organ. Gorgeous!! Someone was practicing so I didn't want to go in and get a better picture - this is the view from the door. This woman practicing sounded amazing.

SAI's booth on Valentine's Day. We were selling chocolate, flowers, and cookie. It was fun, but I was there for about 5 or so hours during the day. That ontop of no sleep from the night before made me EXTREMLY tired. I went back to my dorm room and promptly fell asleep at 5:20, meaning to take a power nap. 17 hours later, I awaken. lol.

This is my buddy Trey. I just think this is a great pic. He is actually student teaching up at Olathe Northwest. Let me tell you, he's an amazing trumpet player. I miss him!

Ya. So I have practice tonight for the SEK Symphony (concert at 7:30 tomorrow night - Come! It'll be amazing!!) tonight from 8-10. Its crazy that it's so late, but you have to schedule around people since it's not our regular practice time. It should be worth it though - we'll sound a lot better and we'll get use to the acoustics this way.

Later, loves!!

Ice has covered everything here at Pitt once again. Walking around on campus, you can hear cracking and falling ice chunks as the day slowly warms... It's finally up inthe 20's again!!! It's the small things in life, really.

Picture time!! I only have like, 3... right now...

Route to the Oval from McCray... The sidewalks are cleared, but the trees are still bending and breaking from the ice. It looks pretty -- too bad it damages so much!!

The back of Russ Hall.

This is by the glass point near the student center. You can really see some of the branches bending down in this one.

I'll go on the search for more pics later, when I have time, but I have class soon that goes until 6:15. yay for SEK Symphony! I'll be glad when this concert gets over with. It's good music, I just can't wait to move on.

Amazingly enough, I have a MIDTERM on thursday. Haha, lifetime fitness concepts. I'm taking it twice a week with a couple of friends so it'll be over with by spring break. I need to catch up on my reading for that class... I've been slacking again. =/

Today in my office hour for Student Ambassadors, I was writing down my schedule for this week. I'M FREAKING BUSY! haha... Valentine's Day combined with concert week, quizzes, and a test are just the tip of the iceburg.

I think I want a big snow. I want a snowball fight and pretty and calming feelings everywhere. I love snow... Not so much with the cold, but snow, def. Who's with me on that one? Besides - campus is so pretty when it snows! All we've been getting usually is ice and just a bit of snow. I want a big snowfall! haha...

So... I had a little bit of fun with photo shop and my friend, Mel.
I couldn't help it! I also love Melissa's eyes, so I used her as a model. =)
I went out the other night and took pitcure of some of the buildings in the dark with their lights on, mainly for this blog and because I hadn't ever done it before, believe it or not.

This is the Jack Overman Student Center. I love the bronze gorilla statue infront of it! It looks really cool in the dark with the light on it!

This guy is over by the stadium. It looks like he's peeking out from the bushes...

Russ Hall.
Carnie Smith Stadium from the front. I love this stadium!!!

Axe Library and the Bell Tower.

The glass point on the student center. I love this picture!

I picked the best out of the shots... Not professional, but none the less fun. =)
Tonight my friend Melissa and I also went out for some fun pictures out by Gorilla Village to take some shots by the gorillas out there...

Ya, I'm barefoot in that last one. It made for better footing! haha =)

Well, I think I'm out for right now... It's getting kind of late and I have been up since way early. Tis the life of a college student...

Later!
