Pictures can say 1,000 words...
Life at Pittsburg State University is never that boring... Friends are always around and campus always has something going on. I love this campus and wouldn't change anything for the world!

Football time!!

Games I'm keeping an eye on:
Pitt State v. Central Oklahoma (?-?
Oklahoma v. Chattanoga (36-0)
Ohio State v. Youngstown (43-0)
Utah v. Michigan (25-23)

I can't believe Utah won over Michigan!! Who's excited about that one? I AM!! Anything against Michigan... Sorry, I can't help it... I was born and raised a buckeye fan!

So Pitt States game started about a half an hour ago... from what I hear (well, read, on www.teamkong.com) and I wish I were there. I cannot wait for the first homegame!! It's going to be fabulous. I need to go get pictures of the Jungletron to put on here. That would be fun. *thinks about doing that...*

Ok, so about a half hour, one trip to Dillons, and a slushie from sonic and I'm back to talk again. Mel is munching on chips & salsa (her own recipe.. amazing!) and we have ESPN on the tv, watching recaps and scores of everything.

Thankfully, no homework, so Nothing to do this long weekend except chill. Which is fine with me, really.

I'm tired.

at 7:25 on a saturday night. How lame am I?

Twas the night before classes
and all through the house,
not a creature was stirring
because the hammies wheel isn't turning.

Not all my books are in,
although I'm not complaining,
there are enough to get me through
all of this week with hopeful planning.

Mel in her bed and me on the couch
writing this poem online
(with many readers I doubt)
while we both of us should be dreaming.

Classes tomorrow will be a drag
all summer long they were there too,
At least I'm use to no break
and my little brain will be churning.

Now I'll let you go
(with this bit of advice)
Don't forget to go to class
When you'd rather be sleeping!

Ok, so I'm no poet... but off the top of my head, I thought it was cute. lol. and true. thats the sad part. At least I'm going to be getting enough sleep tonight... I'm TIRED. It comes with the energy spent all week at band camp and the lack of sleep that came with it.

I'm not REALLY dreading classes... they'll just be... different. I have several gen eds still that I'm working on this semester and classes with my roomie (mel) and other friends of mine, so I won't be alone, which is good. Well, I'll be alone in some of my classes... like the gen eds. I'll be one of the older ones in those, I'm betting. I still can't believe I haven't gotten them out of the way yet. My first year was rough and didn't get much accomplished in that department becasue it was all bio and chem that I was working on. Basically, since I changed my major, all that was for nothing. Fun times, eh?

Ok, so the house really is dark (kitchen light is on) but it's making me more tired. And I still have to shower as well. and my knee hurts right now. But thats a story for another time.

Sorry... It's been hectic around here since last post.

Class went well - one A two B's... I'm really happy about that because I thought I'd get lower in my criminal psychopathology class. Dr Lauderdale's tests are HARD! I had a lot of fun in them though and met some pretty cool people, saw old friends, and all in all am really glad I took them!

Since them I've begun work... which is over at PHS coaching their Color Guard again. It's fun and I really like the director, shes fun to work with and seems to enjoy the kids, which is good. So far, from my perspective, things are going well over there, their first routine involves sabres (this is their first year doing them) and everyone is excited about it! I get to learn more this way as well because I brought in my Co-Captian, Kathleen (also a student ambassador!) to help out because shes pretty much amazing at them. I have a background with them, but it is heavier in rifle, not as much sabre. Anyway, their band camp was last week.

During which, I had to run home for a dr appt. My knee has been acting up recently, hurting when I walk and I noticed swelling last saturday as well. well, nobody knows whats going on with it because both blood tests and xrays came back with nothing and our insurance denied an MRI, so I'm walking around with a hurt, swollen knee. it's lovely. =)

Band camp is next week... anybody reading this going to it? chances are slim, but I though I'd ask. lol. I'm looking forward to it, but at the same time that it's the week that temp will spike and we'll be outside all day getting roasted slowly. Yes! I got the music for the first two songs... they're going to rock. =)

I can't wait for september. Cooler weather, football, and band stuff. I know, I know, call me a nerd, but I love preforming. College football... It's been so long!! I miss it... And I'll miss going to visit my sister and getting to go sit with her at her schools games. She finally graduated and so no more because regular non-student tickets are so freaking expensive!!!

Ok, so I know my bored ramblings are probably boring you (which, if thats the case, you COULD have hit that back button and left me... =( ) so I'm gettin off of here.
